r/CryptoCurrency – Dear r/Cryptocurrency what’s the opinion (or facts if available) on 2nd layer solutions being an eventual outcomes or eventually required?

 

Inspired by a comment I saw in an old thread which went like this,

It’s not possible or practical to have every single transaction on layer 1 chain. You don’t need all 6 infinity stones securing your transaction of tipping someone 3 moons on Reddit. https://i.redd.it/ba0bjlxguj051.png

Why do we not?
Seriously?
I’m just reading back through this saved post and am suddenly very curious why we don’t need all 6 infinity stones securing even small things as wouldn’t it be ideal to push the tech and field to a place where securing everything is the standard?

Genuinely curious as to opinions here I’d like to hear both yes & no sides of this debate.
